Today marks World Clubfoot Day

Karen Moss - Founder and director of STEPS-SA was also Instudio to tell us more about clubfoot. Clubfoot is one of the most common musculoskeletal defects. It is reported that over 150,000 babies are born every year with clubfoot. STEPS-SA is a social enterprise working for the alleviation of clubfoot within the Southern Africa region. Today is World Clubfoot Day and the goal of World Clubfoot Day is to raise awareness about clubfoot disability and its prevention using the Ponseti Method, a non-surgical treatment that includes gentle manipulation of the feet followed by the application of plaster casts and temporary bracing.
