Ismail–Ian Fife - Founder and CEO of Can-Sir was Instudio to speak about their
latest campaign "5c for cancer, Balls n Hooters". The campaign focuses mainly on
the “shy cancers” such as Prostate, Testicular and Colorectal cancer as they
are said to the number one forms of cancer affecting young and older men. Can-Sir
together with its partners People Living With Cancer (PLWC) and Cancer Buddies
will be running the 5c for Cancer; Balls n Hooters Cancer
Education from July to August 2013. The education campaign endorsed by the
Western Cape Department of Health will involve visiting 30 High schools and
Tertiary institutions across the Cape Peninsula, Cape West Coast and Boland to
give talks, presentations and demonstrations in raising awareness of
preventable cancers such as Testicular, Cervical and Breast Cancer, and
encourage early detection and treatment of this disease amongst young adults
and teenagers. In order to make the campaign fun organizers are appealing to
all communities, students, parents, teachers and staff to collect five cent
(5c) coins and hand them in on the day of their visit or communities can get in
touch with them for collection. The school which raises the most 5c coins will
receive a donation from us to the value of R2000. For further information you
