Labour - Black Debt Counsellors Forum to be officially launched in the WC

In today's show, we were joined by Randall Adams - Deputy Chairman of Black Debt Counsellors Forum and Executive Member - Reginald Majokana. They were here to tell us more about the challenges in the credit industry that impact consumers. The Forum will be officially launched in the Western Cape tomorrow. Registered as a Non Profit Organization the Black Debt Counsellors Forum comprises of registered debt counsellors since 2007 and currently practising and representing black economic empowerment as per the National Credit Act 34 of 2005. Their mission is to advocate the rights, growth and capacity building in the debt counselling industry without discrimination or fear. It believes consumer protection is under serious threat following their meeting with the National Treasury who is purporting a twin peak model which is made out of financial prudencial and market conduct. BDCF is inviting all debt counsellors and industry stakeholders to the launch of their Cape Town forum tomorrow April 5th at Protea Hotel in Sea Point from 10:00AM.
