Catch The Moreira Project at the City Hall Sessions celebrating Freedom Day

We closed off with Multi-award winning saxophonist - Moreira Chonguica. He is said to be a prolific researcher who is fascinated by traditional music from different parts of the world. In his latest album Khanimambo - a mixture of traditional Mozambican sounds, rock, ballads and jazz, Moreira pays tribute to the Legends of Mozambique. Tomorrow he will be performing at the City Hall Sessions celebrating Freedom Day. The concert will be headlined by Paul Hanmer and McCoy Mrubata, plus The Moreira Project. It will start at 8PM but doors open at 7.30PM. Ticket costs R80 and R50 for students and pensioners from Computicket.com The City Hall Sessions series is supported by the National Lottery Development Trust Fund, presented by Creative Cape Town (a project of the Cape Town Partnership) with assistance of the City of Cape Town. The concerts are produced by Making Music Productions. The series commenced in 2011, and has brought a dynamic and diverse range of musical collaborations to Cape Town’s historic City Hall.
