On Sakhisizwe today, we heard from Madelein Mkunu -
Founder and President of Leading Women of Africa. We were talking about the
inaugural Women in Entrepreneurship, Infrastructure and sustainable Energy
Development (WEISED) 2013 conference that’s taking place in Cape Town in partnership with Global
Women Inventors and Innovators Network (GWIIN). The conference actively seek progress and advancement for leading women
in recognition of the growing importance of procurement for economic
development and climate change mitigation following the designated 2012 year as
the International Year of Sustainable Energy by the UN General Assembly
resolution 65/151. “Boosting
Sustainable Concepts and Creating High Performance Alliance ”’
is the theme for the
conference and the WEISED Global Awards 2013 also forms part of the programme. Registration closes on the
