In today's show, we spoke to Dr Lisa Kaestner - From the UCT’s Urology Department at Groote Schuur Hospital to
tell us more about Testicular cancer. November marks Testicular Awareness
Month. CANSA is partnering with Movember for the 4th year to raise awareness
regarding men’s cancers by encouraging them to grow a moustache in lieu of
wearing a ribbon and to discuss Men’s Health issues with other men. The month
hopes that men will start to take better care of themselves and decrease their
cancer risk. Men from the age of 15 to 40 years need to examine their testicles
each month, preferably after a bath or shower, to feel for any pea-sized lumps
that could indicate testicular cancer. For more information contact the Cancer Association
of South Africa on (021) 689 5347 alternatively visit www.cansa.org.za or www.urosa.co.za
