Talking birth control to prevent unwanted teen pregnancies
Our last interview was with Professor Dr Theo Kopenhager - Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist. We were discussing Birth Control. Next week Monday is World Contraception Day. World Contraception Day is a worldwide campaign with a vision for a world where every pregnancy is wanted. Its mission is to improve awareness of contraception to enable young people to make informed decisions on sexual and reproductive health. The focus of this year’s campaign is to encourage teenagers to talk to people they trust, so they have all the information they need to avoid an unplanned pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections. Dr Kopenhager explained more. For more information you can contact your nearest hospital or visit www.yourlifenow.co.za
