We also heard from Alana Mellet – General Manager at AmaZink Live a first ever Township Theatre restaurant. AmaZink Live at the Ikhaya Trust Centre is an initiative of a larger project to unlock tourism potential in Khayamandi. It tells the story of a township shebeen facing closure, but manages to keep its doors open through the magic of music. Some of the songs included are Pata Pata, the Click Song, Special Star, Skokiaan, Impi and African Dream to name but a few. Alana explained more. For more information visit www.amazink.co.za or contact her on 074 100 3122 or email info@amazink.co.za
Nigel Vermaas joined us on the line for the Arts update, to share with the listeners what’s hot and what’s not in the Art sector.
