30 September - Arts, Culture & Environment - MCSA to host hiking outreach
In today’s show, we were joined by Suzanne Smith – Outreach programme coordinator at the Mountain Club of South Africa. Tomorrow they will be hiking within the Table Mountain National Park with 200 grade-12 learners from Khayelitsha. The aim of the program is to sensitize under-privileged children to environmental issues and to bring some joy and happiness to their lives. They also hope that some of these children will become members of the MCSA when they become adults. For more information about the Outreach programme you can contact her on (021) 465 3412 or 083 303 3417 alternatively visit www.mcsacapetown.co.za
