Active School Initiative combating bullying and violence on school grounds
We closed off the show with an interview with Dayana Dreke – Coordinator at the Active School Initiative. The Active Schools Initiative is a registered NPO that is providing life-skills-programmes at primary schools in disadvantaged communities in Cape Town & Johannesburg. They say their Learn and Play concept is based on an international education approach and aims to reduce bullying and violence on school grounds and strengthens the personal resources of children by providing opportunities for social learning and personal development.
