14 October - Labour - Fairtrade Trade Label South Africa wins "Be Fair Award South-South"
In today’s show, we heard from Arianna Baldo – from Fairtrade Trade Label South Africa. In its efforts to promote fair trade, sustainability and poverty reduction, Fairtrade Label South Africa in conjunction with Fair Trade South Africa scooped the Be Fair Award South-South. The prize is awarded to an organisation that has shown initiatives for the promotion and sales of fair trade products and services. The project embraces the wider variety of fair trade initiatives, therefore including the agricultural, craft and tourism sector. Arianna explained more about what they do.
