21 July - Human Rights - The Amy Biehl Youth Spirit Award Nominations open!!!
In today's we spoke to Ilchen Retief - From the Amy Biehl Foundation. We were talking about the Amy Biehl Youth Spirit Award. Members of the community are invited to nominate young people between the ages of 14 and 19 who are making a difference in their communities or the world at large. Nominations are based on evidence of the nominee’s initiative and dedication in service to others. The winner will receive a prize worth R25 000 and the organisation supported by the winner, the school the winner attends and the winner’s nominator will each receive a prize. The deadline for the Nominations is Friday, the 31st of July. Nomination packs will be distributed to all schools and can also be collected from the Amy Biehl Foundation’s offices at number 1 Plein Street in Cape Town on 7th floor.
