Today on Sakhisizwe we focused on Cape Town's Arts and Culture scene. We had an interview with Leanda Watkin - Project Coordinator of the Katilist Theatre and Hilton Schilder a world renowned Jazz musician who supports the Katilist by performing free every Thursday nights. The Katilist Theatre is a venue where talented and creative people gather together to Katilize a better brighter Cape Town. We also spoke to Nigel Vermaas for his last Arts update for the year 2007, he will be back again next year mid-January.

We then closed off the show with Gary Naidoo who is a renowned performer. Gary who is known for his roles in ‘Lets Mix It’ and Ghoema has released his brand new production Footsteps to Freedom which takes the form of a musical history lesson from the years of oppression into the new democracy and is directed by Rafiek Mammon and Gary. The production is running at the Theatre at the Pavillion till the 26th of January 2008, Thursday to Saturday nights. The show starts at 20:00 with tickets costing R95.00 per person. The show is preceded by a buffet dinner at Fascination Café, the restaurant at Theatre @ The Pavilion, starting at 18:00. A combined Dinner and Show ticket cost R180.00 per person.
