Today we spoke to Tyrone Fulani – a technician from the Khayelitsha Business Computer Centre. The centre was set up by the Smart City project with partners, Internet Solutions, Zenzele Training and Development and Microsoft South Africa. This project is provided by the city to be utilised by the local and emerging small businesses and the community at large. Tyrone is one of three technicians at the centre. We also spoke to Henrietta Abrahams from the Business Skills Development Centre and Siwe Ndlumbini. Tomorrow a group that attended one of their training courses are graduating. For more information you can contact them at (021) 447 2745.

And our last interview was with Solomon Shikwambana – Manenberg’s People’s Centre. The centre hosts a number of NGO’s that implement various projects in the area and are equally involved in local government initiatives but Solomon explained more about what they do.
