More rights for children with disabalities

Today we spoke with Danie Marais from the National Council of & for Persons with Disabilities. He spoke about how there should be better legislation about the inclusion and resource providing for children with disabilities.

The Children's Act of 2005 is the only legislation in place, but Danie says it is very weak in the protection of children with disabilities. They want to push the minister to create law providing the inclusion of disabled kids.

In the education system there is a lot of room for improvement. But Danie knows he can't expect teachers to take all the pressure and extra work disabled children in their classroom bring with them. He asks for more resources and extra staff.
