In today's show, we spoke to James Hannie - Project Manager for the
Ministerial’s Workers Summit. The Minister of Labour, Mildred Oliphant will
engage with the community of Saldanha Bay at a Youth and Workers
Summit this Friday and Saturday respectively. The Summit will see the Minister
engaging with young people on the first day on the opportunities available
through the department. She will be joined by senior Labour officials and
key stakeholders on the day which includes the Industrial Development Zone
partner. On Saturday the focus will shift to discussions on employment,
sectoral determinations and compliance within the workplace. There will be
specific emphasis on the hospitality, agricultural and fishing industries. The event will be held at Saldanha Bay Sports Ground from 9AM. For
