In today's show, we spoke to Margie Davidson - Parent education facilitator for the Parent Centre
about a support group for moms-to-be and moms and babies group.
The Parent Centre was established in 1983 as a primary prevention organisation
that aims to prevent child abuse through the promotion of positive parenting
and in particular positive discipline by working directly with
parents/caregivers, educators, child care workers, social workers and others
who work with parents and children. They meet every Thursdays from 10AM to noon at Constantiaberg
Mediclinic’s boardroom in Plumstead. Entry is R50. For further information you
can contact (021) 762 0116 or go to www.theparentcentre.org.za
