On Sakhisizwe today, we spoke to Nashira Abrahams - Dispute Management and Prevention
Commissioner at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration or
CCMA. We were talking about unfair labour practice disputes. Unfair labour practice is unfair treatment by an
employer of an employee or job applicant. Section 185 of the Labour Relations Act states that “every
employee has the right not to be subjected to an unfair labour practice”,
Nashira explained more. For more information about the CCMA go to www.ccma.org.za or contact their call centre
on 0861 16 16 16.
