Human Rights - Paradesi children’s home and place of safety

In today's show, we were joined by Nomthandazo Muhambazi - Founder of Paradesi children’s home and place of safety to tell us more about the home she opened in Phoenix, Milnerton. Paradesi opened its doors last year in September after Nomthandazo resigned from her teaching job to assist vulnerable children in the community. She realised this after identifying troubled school children who displayed behavioural problems and anger as many of them were raised by single parents. There are currently 11 children between the ages of 6 months to 5 years at the home and place of safety of which 6 reside there. Donations are welcomed as she currently funds the home herself and faces challenges such as limited resources and facilities for the children. For further information you can contact Nomthandazo on 072 178 9616 or send an email to ppsovc@gmail.com
