Human Rights - Transport and Public Works MEC launches Pedestrian Safety Week

On the show today, we spoke to Robin Carlisle - Western Cape MEC of Transport and Public Works about the launch of Pedestrian Safety Week on the Cape Flats and commemorating International Level Crossing Awareness Day. The department launched a R3 million high intensity pilot pedestrian safety project yesterday. The MEC says pedestrians make up the majority of fatalities among road users and his main headache is Lansdowne Road.
