We closed off with Clement Banjo - Head of Communication and Business
Development for Africa 2.0. He was speaking to us
about the Start-up Africa initiative. Africa 2.0 is a Pan-African
civil society organization that consists of over 300 young and emerging leaders
from Africa and the Diaspora who
share a collective vision for Africa and a commitment to
finding and implementing sustainable solutions capable of leapfrogging the
development of the continent. The organisation
will be hosting "Start-up Africa" from Thursday May 9th to Sunday May 11th in Woodstock, Cape Town . Start-up Africa is a 3 day frenzy of
business model creation, coding, designing, market validation and the weekend
culminating with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with
another opportunity for critical feedback that’s aimed at innovative, dynamic
and high impact business ideas. Some of the renowned speakers include Rene
Dinesen - Danish Ambassador of South Africa , Wendy Luhabe - South
African Businesswoman, Alan Knott-Craig - founder of World Avatar and former CEO
