Hanover Park Maternity Obstetric Unit launches Rapid Antiretroviral Initiation Program

Dr Reghana Taliep - ARV Clinical Manager at Hanover Park Community Health Centre joined us on the line to talk about their Rapid Antiretroviral Initiation Program. The project was initiated by the Western Cape Provincial Department of Health in partnership with the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation. The service delivery approach is to integrate rapid HAART initiation in pregnant women into the current nurse-led prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) program.
