Spoek Mathambo to rock the Cape Town World Music Festival

We closed off with Nthato Mokgata aka Spoek Mathambo. Spoek is one of the 32 artists performing at the Cape Town World Music Festival this weekend. His music is said to be Afro-futurism. His unique vision on electronic music infuses futurism with a strong sense of pride in where he comes from. The festival will feature artists like Mbongiseni Ngubane aka Bholoja, Oliver Mtukudzi, Spoek Mathambo, Freshlyground, Zaki Ibrahim and many more. Spanning from Harrington Square to the Assembly and the Mahogany Room, it will feature: a main day/night live music stage with both local and international artists, a day time free stage, an intimate acoustic/listening space and a late night Nu World dance stage featuring the best of world dance music. The festival will also host a day time local craft market, food stalls and bars on event days. Tickets costs R320 for all stage full weekend pass, R250 for Saturday and R150 for Friday.
