UWC is hosting the Annual Ashley Kriel Youth Memorial Lecture

We heard from Eleanor Swartz - Project leader of the Ashley Kriel Youth Leadership Development Project. She was speaking to us about the 9th Ashley Kriel Youth memorial lecture. The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation in partnership with the University of the Western Cape is hosting its annual Ashley Kriel youth memorial lecture "Re-imagining the youth: From deficit to opportunity" which challenges youth to re-imagine themselves and their abilities with positivity, and aims to encourage youth to take a proactive approach to leadership and development within their communities. IJR’s desired outcome of the Ashley Kriel Youth Leadership Development Project and annual lecture is to help empower young people to realise their full potential and their individual roles and responsibilities in achieving their personal goals and contributing to the development of societies that are non-racial, non-sexist and all-inclusive. For further information you can contact Eleanor on (021) 763 7128 or send an email to eswartz@ijr.org.za
