07 September - Gender - Decisions for Life Trade Union Campaign to host Young Women's Market Day

In today’s show, we were joined by Anilla Soma – from the Labour Research Service. The Decisions for Life Trade Union Campaign will be hosting young Women's Market Day. This will be a networking space where different organisations will be giving talks and have marketing display stalls on youth skills development, education, job creation and on what they do to assist young women to progress in their personal and professional lives. Young women will also be discussing and sharing their experiences. Decisions for Life Campaign is part of the Decisions for Life project, which focuses on young women workers in eight large occupational groups in the service sector, and aims to achieve better working conditions for young women and increase the number of young women as trade union members and leaders. The workshop is on Saturday, the 10th of September from 10AM till 3PM at the Salt Rivet Community House. For more information contact Anilla (021) 447 1677 or send an email to anilla@lrs.org.za
