Arts, Culture & Environment - Dance for All to host end of year function

In today's show, we spoke to Bridgette Brukman - Fundraising and Marketing Manager for Dance for All. Dance for All is set to present the much anticipated, diverse and inspiring two-hour production showcasing about 100 of its students at their end of year function to be held at the Springfield Convent Centenary School Hall, tomorrow at 14:00PM and 19:00PM. Dance for All is a community based project which seeks to uplift the children in underprivileged communities by providing the opportunity for enjoyment and promotion of self-esteem through the medium of dance. Cape Town City Ballet presents 3 ballets

Bolo’ Bolo presents POETICS

We closed off with Kgotatso and Tswarelo  - Poet and Hip Hop Artist .  Tomorrow they will be performing at Bolo’ Bolo. POETICS “music not for the sake of it”. A platform for artists/musicians to interact with audience lyrically. Their guests are said to be carefully chosen for their creative and thought provoking lyrical content. The event is happening tomorrow afternoon at 16h00PM till late at Bolo Bolo in Lower Main Road, Observatory. And it’s open for free. Men are encouraged to get involved in educating their children

Ilitha Labantu addresses violence against women and children

We closed off with Siphokazi Bona – Senior Social Worker at Ilitha Labantu. Ilitha Labantu is a social service and educational organization with a specific focus on addressing violence against women and children and supporting those affected by it. It was founded in February 1989 by Mandisa Monakali. It aims to empower women who have been affected by domestic violence, meet the needs of women and children affected by domestic violence, p rovide services run by women which are based on listening to survivors, challenge the disadvantages which result from domestic violence, support and reflect diversity and promote equality of opportunity and promote cohesive inter-agency responses to domestic violence and develop partnerships . Human Rights - Police brutality still rife

In today's show, we spoke to Wanelisa Albert about police brutality she experienced. This comes after she was arrested for trying to stop a black on black violence. We also heard from Thabo Leholo – Acting Provincial Head of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate or IPID . The Independent Police Investigative Directorate is a government department that was established to investigate complaints of brutality, criminality and misconduct against members of the police and the municipal police service. St Francis Adult Education Centre opens a new campus in Gugulethu

Mbuyiseli Blayi – Student Liaison Officer at the St Francis Adult Education Centre was Instudio. St Francis has been providing education for adults from disadvantaged communities for the past 30 years. They aim to provide relevant programmes and initiatives that enhance self-development and promote employment. They have various courses like the Enrichment and Life Skills, Music Project, Fashion and Sewing Project, Technology Project and Computer Project. Project 90x2030 promotes reduction of carbon emissions

Project 90 by 2030 is a non-government organisation guiding South Africans from all sectors of society in how reduce their impact on the environment and reduce carbon emissions by 90% by the year 2030. Last month they attended the international climate talks in Poland in a bid to influence world leaders to "see the solutions that are right in front of them." Labour - The dti to a workshop for the Western Cape artists
