Young Khayelitsha filmmaker shares his vision
We closed off the show with an interview with Mandiseli Maseti – Artist/Filmmaker. In his final year at high school in 2005, Mandiseli was falsely accused of raping a female classmate. He spent seven months in prison before the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence. His experience and how he chose to live life after that was documented by a number of filmmakers, this exposed him to the world of filmmaking and now he is one of the few young people from the township behind the camera documenting other people’s stories. He told us more about his hopes and dreams.
