Tomorrow is Lupus day
We also heard from Dr Ayanda Celu - a Rheumatologist. We were talking about Lupus, as tomorrow is Lupus day. It is an auto immune disorder that attacks the body. This means that the body’s defence system would break down its own tissues, blood cells and organs. It is said that Black and Asian women are more likely to get Lupus and they are 8 times more likely to get it than men. Dr Celu explained more about the causes. For more information about Lupus you can contact the Lupus clinic at (021) 404 5360 or visit www.worldlupusday.org alternatively www.arthritis.org.za
