20 April - Western Cape Local Government Department to kick start Paraffin Safety Worshops
In today’s show, we heard from Elmien Steyn - spokesperson for Western Cape Local Government Department. The Western Cape Local Government Department through, its Disaster Management Centre together with the Paraffin Safety Association of South Africa will be conducting paraffin safety trainer workshops throughout the province. The aim of this training will be to educate Community Development Workers and Municipal Disaster Management Officials around the dangers associated with paraffin, in order to prevent and assist communities with paraffin related incidents.
