Learning more about obesity and the risks associated with being obese this Obesity Week
We closed off the show with an interview with Charlene Goosen - A Registered Dietician from the Nutrition Information Centre at the University of Stellenbosch. This week is the Obesity and Nutrition Week. According to reports, Obesity is now recognised as a major public health problem in many countries like Australia, America, UK, Mexico, Brazil as well as South Africa. Worldwide statistics show that 22 million children under the age of five are overweight. We spoke to Charlene about what causes obesity and the risks associated with being obese.
