19 October - Health - understanding Kangaroo Mother Care
In today’s show, we spoke to Dr Nils Bergman - Kangaroo Mother Care pioneer. Dr Bergman was accompanied by Jayson Philander, Joslyn Polansky, Manesty Marshall, Ian Petersen and Thomas Petersen – they are students at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology who are involved in the Kangaroo Mother Care project. Through this project they promote the spread and implementation of Kangaroo Mother Care as the standard method of care for all newborn babies, both premature and full term.
