16 October - Arts, Culture & Environment - Partly God opens at Artscape tonight

In today’s show, we were joined by Jackie Manyaapelo – Artistic Director at Jazzart and Chuma Sopotela – Lead Actress in – in Partly God, a Jazzart Production. The production encompasses a landscape of reality and violence as well as a dreamscape, a magic space, where anything is possible. The narrative is seen through the spirit of a boy soldier who befriends a young man who is searching for his father. Their relationship is co-dependent and delicate and the boy finally offers a path to enlightenment. It opens at Artscape tonight. It’s directed by Lara Foot, choreographed by Alfred Hinkel, Ina Wichterich-Mogane, Ananda Fuchs, Sbonakaliso Ndaba, John Linden & Jackie Manyaapelo to music composed & performed by Neo Muyanga.
