Developing youth through mentor programmes
We also heard from Hamieda Ghaniem – Manager of the Azaad Youth Organisation. This is a non- profit organisation that works in the Ravensmead, Uitsig and Belhar communities. Their programs are specifically aimed at the development of the youth. They currently offer various learnership programs to over 500 youth who are also trained to be mentors to the younger generation in their communities. Hamieda explained more.
