In today’s show we caught up with one of the Bush Radio Reporter’s Tina George who attended the South African Municipal Workers Union March in the Cape Town. The striking members marched through the city centre from Keizergracht in District Six to the Civic Centre to hand over a memorandum. They were striking against job restructuring, after harsh criticism from Mayor Helen Zille in her council address on Tuesday. We also spoke to Lance Veotte, Chairperson of SAMWU who was there at the march. We tried to get hold of Charles Cooper from the City of Cape Town, but he was unavailable for comment. We then speak to Ebrahim Peters, the Senior Manager of Engineering Studies for Northlink College. We discussed some of the new study programmes they have to offer.
