Health - This week is World Breastfeeding Week

On Sakhisizwe today, we spoke to Nicolette Henney - Assistant Director of the Comprehensive Health Programmes: Nutrition for the WC Department of Health. We were talking about Breastfeeding. This week we are celebrating the World Breastfeeding Week and the theme for this year is: ‘Breastfeeding Support: close to mothers’. It is reported that Breastmilk is the best food for a baby. Babies do not need any other foods or water, except breast milk until they are 6 months old but Nicolette explained more.
