Western Cape Health MEC explains the shortage of chronic medication

We closed off with an interview with Western Cape Health MEC - Theuns Botha. He joined us to talk about the shortage of chronic medication in the province. This emerged after it was reported by the media on Thursday that a number of chronically ill patients waiting for their life saving medication had to be turned away from Groote Schuur and Tygerberg Hospital. According to the MEC, the department is experiencing a problem because they have changed service providers but the issue will be sorted out in the next three months.
