Shamiema Mcleod to host cognitive behaviour workshops

Shamiema Mcleod - Trainer in cognitive behaviour joined us on the line to talk about the monthly workshops that she hosts. In keeping with Psychiatric Disability Awareness Month, it’s been reported that between 1% and 3% of the South African population are likely to suffer from a mental health problem severe enough to require hospitalisation according to health 24. The month raises awareness about mental illnesses, such as depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder and also draws attention to suicide, which is predominately precipitated by some mental illness. The workshops will be on the 28th and the 29th of July, 2012 (aimed at parents only) and the 4th and 5th of August in Constantia.
It costs R500 for two days. For more information contact her on 073 153 9274.
