June is National Blood Donor Month

We also heard from Marlize Mouton - From the Western Province Blood Transfusion Services. We were talking about blood donation and commemorating National Blood Donor Month and World Blood Donor Day on Thursday June 14th which is aimed at raising awareness of the need for safe blood and products and to thank voluntary unpaid donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. This year’s theme is "Every blood donor is a hero" focusing on the idea that every one can become a hero by giving blood.
