IJR calls for Reconciliation Award nominations

We closed off with an interview with Carolin Gomulia - From the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR). She was speaking to us about their call for nominations for the Reconciliation Award. The Institute affords an annual Reconciliation Award to an individual, community or organisation in South Africa that has contributed towards reconciliation. Through this award the Institute would like to acknowledge and showcase the recipient’s approaches and strategies to enable reconciliation, whether they originate in the spheres of politics, media, business, culture, sport, academia or community service. The nomination of a person or organisation has to be based on achievements accomplished or work done in any sphere of South African society up to and including the previous year (2011). This means it can span over a longer period of time but has to include the previous year and the nominations must be in by no later than the 30th of June 2012. The form can be downloaded at www.ijr.org.za. E-mail the completed form to: info@ijr.org.za with “Reconciliation Award” as the subject line. Or post to: Institute for Justice and Reconciliation
