Red in the Rainbow Exhibition opens at the Nelson Mandela Gateway Robben Island Museum

Lynn Carneson
We closed off with an interview with Lynn Carneson – Author of Red in the Rainbow. We were talking about the Red in the Rainbow Exhibition currently up at Nelson Mandela Gateway Robben Island Museum. This multi-media exhibition is based on Lynn’s book, “Red in the Rainbow” and the art works of Ruth Carneson. It’s about a family of activists and their comrades in Cape Town. It is a journey about how each person tried to cope with difficulties; about how the human spirit can be crushed, but never destroyed and how Lynn’s parents Fred and Sarah Carneson kept their love alive in spite of everything. It will be up till the 25th of July 2012. The museum will be open every day from except on public holidays. For more information visit www.redintherainbow.co.za
