Alcoholism is destroying families: Part 2
Last week we played a feature produced by Abel Mfundo Dantyi on Alcoholic parents and how alcoholism affects families. Today we continued on Alcoholic parents and we spoke to a 43 year old Tracy who is a recovering addict and a member of the Alanon Family Group in Cape Town. The statement that Alcoholism can be inherited is debatable, but in Tracy’s case it proves to be true because his grandfather was an alcoholic, his father is an alcoholic as well. Al-Anon Family Groups offer understanding, help and support to the families of problem drinkers. For more information you can contact them on 0861 25 26 66 or visit www.alanon.org.za
