SSISA opens registrations for the OptiFit Running Programme
We closed off the show with an interview with Kathleen Mc Quaide-Little – from the Sports Science Institute of SA. We were talking about the OptiFit Running Programme. This 12 weeks to 10km or 8 weeks to 21.1km hands-on training programme is designed for novices and trains people to take part in races of different distances. You will also undergo various fitness and health assessments and can select either a dietary or running injury risk assessment. There are up to three evening sessions a week and one weekend session on the 21.1km programme and you are fully trained by Sports Scientists. On completion of the course, all your health and fitness assessments are redone and the entire group participates in an official 10km or 21.1km event (Two Oceans) together. The 10km course starts in Cape Town on the 23rd of January and the 21.1km programme on the 28th of February 2011 and there are limited places available, so book now. You are also given the opportunity of joining the SSISA’s Fitness Centre at special rates. For further information about the programme, e-mail optifit@ssisa.com or phone (021) 659 5631 and visit www.optifit.co.za
