We also heard from Belinda Langenhoven – Project Manager for the Cleanest Town Competition. Last night they awarded the 2010 Cleanest Town Competition Award to Overberg Municipality. The 2010 competition engaged 20 local municipalities as participants for the annual prestigious award. It is reported that since, inception in 2001 the provincial round of the Cleanest Town Competition has enjoyed greatly improved participation, clearly showing its significance to municipalities in the province. Belinda explained more.
