We were also joined by Nigel Vermaas for the Arts update in and around the city.

We closed off the show with an interview with Francois Raubenheimer – from the Month of People's Photography. We spoke to him about their annual free exhibition that aims to exhibit pictures taken by photographers from all walks of life. This year they encourage people to bring their own photographs to the grand opening event that will take place at the National Art Gallery from 3PM today. Month of People's Photography or MOPP was initiated by a group of independent photographers whose intention was to create not only a platform for their own work but a social interaction with photography outside of the bounds of “dictated media”. The exhibition runs from today till the 22nd of March 2008 at the South African National Art Gallery Annexe in Plein Street (or St Johns Street), Cape Town. And wait for this, entrance is FREE- mahala. For more information about the exhibition contact Francois on 082 940 9191 or visit www.mopp.org.za
